Inspired by six months sketching in Ian Richardson’s boat building workshop,
Paintings developed from more representational works that took in the amazing light in the workshop, to mixing colour pallets from both inside the workshop and out at sea, celebrating the threshold between them.  This led to more abstract works that describe the layers of time in wood, the time in construction, its history and the journeys to come….
